Myra Ekkel entered the Insurance Industry in 2002 after 5 years of working through the ranks within the Hospitality Industry. In February 2003, she joined the Customplan Administration at the Calgary Location. Beginning in Back Office, she expanded her responsibilities from Reception to Office Supervisor within 4 years under the guidance of the Vancouver Management Team. In 2008, she embarked on a one-year sabbatical taking her to work and travel through Australasia. Baileys Commercial Real Estate in Wellington, New Zealand committed to a short-term temporary position for Myra to work as an Executive Assistant under the firm’s partner, Mark Hourigan. After 6 months, Baileys not only realized the hard work, solid ethics, and dedication but also the potential and passion Myra was capable of for any task thrown her way. In 2009, Myra returned to Canada and was able to rejoin the Customplan Team. Through her 16 years she has grown within the firm to hold additional ranks of Office Manager, Manager of Administration, Executive Assistant, and currently Chief Operating Officer.
